The Empatia series is inspired by the association between great glass-blowing traditions and LED technology. The interest in the expression potentials of this material resulted in a collaboration with master Venetian glass blowers to work on the balance between surface and light, between subtle densities and transparencies. The results are the clear, pure craft objects, each of them unique in all respects. Transparency and opacity are wisely dosed to obtain a glass that reflects light without glaring and without losing efficiency. Hence an optical device was conceived, whose heart is a high-performance LED-based light created separately from the glass emission body in favor of higher thermal efficiency and performance. The light is controlled with maximum yield and driven towards the glass diffuser through a transparent pipe with a very low absorption coefficient.

The Empatia suspension lamps feature a painted white, die-cast aluminum base with a handblown glass diffuser which is clear towards the top and frosted at the bottom to allow reflection of the light without glare and without losing efficiency. The light pipe, made of transparent, low absorption coefficient methacrylate, guides the light to the diffuser. There is also a glass bottom plate within the diffuser in painted white aluminum to reflect light. The Empatia suspension lights are offered in 3 power levels and sizes with either a on/off, 2-wire dimmable or on/off with extended length.
