Different Trains cabinet features long planks of solid hardwood create a cabinet with an open form, while the sliding doors articulating the facade partially conceal the cabinet contents, engaging play between positive and negative space. Designed by Matthew Hilton for his eponymous brand, and manufactured by De La Espada craftsmen.

Matthew Hilton graduated with a degree in Furniture Design from Kingston Polytechnic in 1979. He went on to design products for a variety of well known manufacturers. In 1985 Matthew set up the Matthew Hilton Design Studio. He has also been given the highest honor in the field of Industrial Design in the United Kingdom, by being named a Royal Designer for Industry in 2003. In September 2007, Matthew established his own brand, Matthew Hilton Limited as a place he could have complete creative control. In 2008, he was named Designer of the Year by Elle Decoration at the British Design Awards.

Available in American black walnut finished with a Danish oil; American white oak finished with a Danish oil or a white oil; European Ash finished with a Danish oil, white oil, black stain, brown stain, or brushed/painted in a choice of brown RAL 8019, black RAL 9005, or white RAL 9016. Sliding compact laminate doors articulate the facade. Textured matte black painted steel legs. PLEASE NOTE: the 240cm / 94 1/2" wide cabinet comes with six sliding doors per shelf, consisting of two of each door size, placed along one side of the cabinet only. Further sliding doors may be purchased separately. The doors are available in black or as a set of three shades of grey. They do not have an exact color reference, however as a guideline, the closest RAL codes are: Black doors, RAL 9011; Grey doors: Light Grey RAL 7035, Medium Grey RAL 7042 and Dark Grey RAL 7012.
