The Fox is a sofa concept with a strikingly original design that relies on strong and simple lines. The concept is based on a group of modular elements that can be combined with each other in accordance with the individual wishes and needs of the user. The identical shape of the supporting back and arm elements allows for seamless integration of the various elements. Extra-long sofas, various corner configurations and a sofa with fixed ottoman (chaise lounge) are some of the options available, making the Fox sofa adaptable to every interior. The seat section of each sofa is divided in two, giving the appearance of 'cushions'. Besides the visual effect obtained, this also ensures the seats of these tightly designed sofas also remain taut even after long periods of use!

Gijs Papavoine studied at the institute of technology and Eindhoven Academy for Industrial Design in the product Design department. Gijs was employed as a Product Manager at Montis until 1990. In this capacity, he was jointly responsible for Montis' design philosophy. In 1990, Gijs was promoted to dedicated designer of Montis.
