Fish poacher made of bilaminate of thick copper plate, ensuring perfect heat conduction, encased in a thin layer of stainless steel that ensures maximum hygiene and facilitates cleaning without affecting the copper's excellent temperature conduction properties. With internal grill in 18/10 stainless steel. At 60 cm in length and not oval but elliptical, this is essential for exceptionally large fish like bass, salmon, bream and even turbot (the poacher replaces the French rhomboid-shaped tubotiére normally used for this purpose), as well as problem-sized dishes like Italian zamponi (boiled stuffed pig's trotter). It has a grille that can be adjusted to three different positions for boiling, steaming and draining the cooked food.
Born in Munich in 1932, Richard Sapper studied philosophy, anatomy, graphics, engineering and economics. Ten times winner of the Compassi d'Oro, his prime interest is the design of technically complex objects, from ships to watches.
