Carbon chair by Bertjan Pot and Marcel Wanders speaks of dedicated craftsmanship in connection to high tech materials and the material expertise only possible by personal excitement, passion and the love of "enlightened amateurs". The Carbon chairs uncomparable lightness both visually and physically is due to its structure. Individual strands of carbon interwoven to create a strong body and intricate aesthetic.

Marcel Wanders grew up in Boxtel, the Netherlands and graduated cum laude from the School of the Arts Arnhem in 1988. His fame started with the iconic Knotted Chair in 1996. He is now designing for the biggest European contemporary design manufacturers including Moooi of which he is also art director and co-owner. He works on architectural, interior design and consumer home appliances. His designs have been selected for the most important design collections and exhibitions around the world.

Bertjan Pot is a designer of mostly furniture and lighting. His methods are concentrated in his interest in skins of the structural and non-structural kind. He studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven. He considers theory as something to think about and something to discuss when not designing. "When it comes to designing one should just design without being blocked by too many theories."

Carbon chair is available in black and suitable for use indoors or outdoors. Optional seat pad and cap are also offered in black faux leather. Seat pad & cap are not suitable for outdoor use.
