Kartell's past and present merge in the form of the KD28 lamp by Joe Colombo, which assumes a new lease of life and returns to the Kartell Lighting range. First introduced back in 1967, this lamp still maintains its original innovative spirit but has been adapted to modern-day needs by the use of advanced materials and technology. It is now made from recycled materials and boasts a satin-finish shade that projects a warmer, more enveloping light. Attention to detail has provided a fabric-covered power cable in the same color as the base. Drawing on a rich past but with a clear focus on the future, the renewed KD28 is therefore a perfect symbol of Kartell's stylistic and creative continuity.
Modular Stackability: The most unique creative feature of the KD28 is its ability to be stacked vertically. Users can combine multiple individual units to build an eye-catching, luminous totem tower or floor lamp.
Geometric Silhouette: The design uses a perfectly balanced, injection-molded base coupled with an integrated oval-shaped dome diffuser. This gives it a clean, 1960s modernist appearance that acts as functional sculpture even when turned off.
Monochromatic and Bold Colors: Designed to work in both minimalist and experimental interiors, it features seamless visual alignment with a fabric power cord precisely color-matched to its base.
