Continuing the informal expression of the Embrace series, designed for Carl Hansen & Søn by Austrian design trio EOOS, the latest addition to the collection is the Embrace Bar Stool.

Pairing optimal seating comfort with elegant lightness, the flexible and dynamic design offers countless possibilities to combine materials to create precisely the look you want. The bar and counter height iterations feature relaxed upholstery set against a finely crafted minimalist FSC-certified oak or walnut frame, encouraging movement without compromising on comfort. The tall, padded backrest supports the body, and the height ensures eye level interaction when one person sits and the other stands.

Austrian design collaborative, EOOS, were established in Vienna in 1995 by Martin Bergmann, Gernot Bohmann, and Harald Gründl. The trio study historical roots in a contemporary context and use a unique process called Poetical Analysis to create works. Their method focuses on myths, rituals and intuitive expressions, to create connections that extend beyond initial perceptions. EOOS view design as a poetic discipline, and believe that end results should be able to accommodate changing needs and desires.
