Pinstripe XL is designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune. The original pattern was launched in 2007 as a woven rug for the renowned restaurant Operakällaren in Stockholm. For the opening of the five-star Nobis Hotel in Stockholm in 2010, the collection was reinvigorated with an enlarged hand-tufted version made in wool and linen, Pinstripe XL. The most notable change in the updated version is the hand-drawn pinstripes, enlarged and enhanced with cut pile and bouclé.

Since 1995, Swedish design trio, Claesson Koivisto Rune, has been globally acclaimed, winning numerous awards in the fashion and design industry. Together with Kasthall, they have worked on multiple projects. This collaboration resulted in the wall-to-wall carpet Pinstripe at the prestigious restaurant Operakällaren in Stockholm, and the sophisticated hand-tufted rug Pinstripe XL, at the lobby of the 5-star Nobis Hotel.

Sustainability is rooted in Kasthall's history from the beginning and continues today in their work and ambition to contribute to a sustainable future. They use a circular approach to design and a fully-traceable supply chain to reduce the impact on people and planet. It is part of their commitment to local Swedish production and a made-to-order system that creates less waste. Kasthall uses third-party environmental declarations and assessment to ensure reliability.

The rug is made from wool yarn (95%) and linen (5%). Custom sizes are available, please contact Hive for assistance ordering sizes not shown online. Depending on the natural materials used and the varied hand-crafted processes in production, dimensions of the rug may vary by up to 2%. Pile height is approximately 0.4" - 0.5".
