The 108 Chair was originally designed by Finn Juhl in 1955. At first glance, it may appear like any ordinary dining chair. However, upon closer inspection, surprising details such as angled side bars and sliding cross bars are revealed. These details add unexpected movement and dynamics to the chair's construction.
To this day, Finn Juhl's designs are unconventional and defy expectations with subtle details. Finn Juhl himself once said that the deviation is in the detail. This is also the case with his 108 Chair that is defined by elegant, subtle details such as angled side bars and sliding cross bars. Finn Juhl's philosophy of separating the carried and the carrying elements, thus creating space, is apparent in the 108 Chair. Despite being both upholstered and very comfortable the 108 Chair manages to keep its lightness and appears beautiful from all angles. Crafted with a stunning wooden frame with the seat and back upholstered. A sophisticated and beautifully crafted addition to any dining space.
The 108 Chair is available in oak, walnut, or black-painted finishes and can be upholstered with textile or leather. The 109 Armchair completes the series.
