Øivind Slaatto drew inspiration for the SWIRL series from nature and basic mathematical principals. He wanted to find a way to incorporate the detail construction of a snail's shell as well as his fascination with fractals.

Despite clear references to Le Klint's classic design and craftsmanship, Swirl has its own unique identity. With its transparent design language and curved slats that distribute light, the lamp provides a subtle ambient light and is also an aesthetic delight in the space. The beautiful finish at the bottom of the lamp makes it particularly suitable for hanging high in a room. Swirl is designed to eliminate uncomfortable glare from the light source. The series is available in several models and sizes.
