The Myto chair is a polypropylene cantilever chair that is perforated, creating a permeable surface for water drainage. It is fairly lightweight with a hand pull under the seat and at the top of the back, for ease in carrying. In 2008 Myto was officially selected into the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. In 2011 it was awarded the Compasso D'Oro by ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale).
Konstantin Grcic trained as a cabinet maker at Parnham College in England and studied design at the Royal College of Art in London. Since setting up his own practice, Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design (KGID), in Munich in 1991 he has developed furniture, products and lighting for leading design companies. Many of his products have received international design awards and form part of the permanent collections of the world's most prestigious museums.
Myto is stackable and suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
