In the late 1960s, Danish furniture designer Børge Mogensen conceived his Deck Chair Series of outdoor furniture, which included the BM5768 footstool. The footstool's simple, solid teak construction is perfectly proportioned to match the height of the series' deck chair while providing a classic, durable and functional element for outdoor spaces.

Reissued by Carl Hansen & Søn, the purposeful design helps to bring people and nature together in thoughtful and inspiring ways. The straightforward silhouette in solid, untreated and FSC-certified teak features carefully considered details that include gently rounded ends and identically spaced rivets. Originally conceived for Mogensen's private balcony, the series folds flat when not in use and can be neatly hung on the series' corresponding wall mount as a decorative, architectural object in its own right.

The BM5768 footstool features untreated FSC-certified teak. The durable design withstands wear and weather conditions to age gracefully over time, acquiring an elegant silver-grey hue. It is upholstered in weatherproof Sunbrella fabric, chosen for its natural look and easy cleaning. The fabric is only offered in Heritage papyrus 18006 color.
